Afyonkarahisar has been awarded as the 3rd Gastronomic City of Turkey after Hatay & Gaziantep and 36th in the world by Unesco in 2019. It is at the inner western part of Turkey and has an altitue of 1100 meters (over 3000 feet) It is about 6 Hours driving away from Istanbul. Nearest Airport is Zafer Airport where is about 45 minutes driving away from city. Also another Airport is Denzili – Çardak Airport where is about 1 hour 15 minutes driving away.
